THE MISSION
The inheritance genealogist is to determine the entitlements
of heirs and to locate them in order to allow the notaries
(and lawyers in the case of Canada and the United States)
to settle an inheritance. His work is certified and he assumes
full responsibility for his actions. He may also confirm
an unsure devolution of estate.
The genealogist is duly assigned by law professionals to
conduct these investigations. The searches carried out by
the genealogist in order to establish the genealogical tree
of a deceased person, also called ''decedent'' may involve
very complex procedures and require numerous trips abroad.
The genealogist represents a privileged partner to the lawyers
and notaries. He is in charge of informing the entitled
parties (unknown to them), of their rights of inheritance
in a succession which was initiated without their knowledge.
The fees received by the genealogist are established according
to the complexity of the files assigned to him.
Heirs may rely upon conscientious genealogists who will
do their utmost to represent them in their inheritance settlement
process. Law professionals using inheritance genealogical
services, mastering the different research and tracing tools
are assured of an accurate devolution of estate. |
